To get the spring started off on the right foot, we held a contest. A contest that asked participants to offer a picture or short video of their craziest, most extreme and\/or most fierce teeth brushing technique. Hence the April Fool’s Day Contest was unleashed and for the whole month of March we received some inspiring and absurd pictures of brushing. Once all the submissions had been entered, we spent April debating and judging the merits of each picture at length until finally we found a winner…<\/p>\n

Winner: Maria O’Brien<\/h2>\n

Our winner Maria O’Brien approaches brushing her teeth like an excellent tactician. Not only does she have the brush and paste at hand, she has the full spectrum of oral health products on her person. She’s suited up, ready to go. Also, the laboratory glasses are a good touch…have you ever gotten mouthwash in your eye? It’s not enjoyable.<\/p>\n

After she accepted her award\u2014a much coveted Kindle Fire\u2014we sat down with Maria and asked her a few questions:<\/p>\n

  1. How long have you been a patient of Dr.\u00a0Potts?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    M<\/strong>: I am brand new, just a couple of months. But, I have to say that I feel so welcomed here that it feels as if I have been here for a long time.<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. What’s your favorite thing about coming to the office?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      M<\/strong>: Everything! The staff is marvelous and the doctor is outstanding. It is a very positive climate.<\/span><\/p>\n

      1. How did you come up with your winning pose?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        M<\/strong>: It comes naturally\u00a0<\/span>J<\/span>\u00a0I love being silly! I think I have a childish personality so I don\u2019t mind doing funny things at all.<\/p>\n

        1. What’s with the gloves?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          M<\/strong>: I am all out! Trying to keep the bacteria away and performing a deep cleaning.<\/span><\/p>\n

          1. What’s hanging around your neck in the picture?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            M<\/strong>: Tooth brushes, floss, all kind of tools that I use to clean my teeth. And believe me, I use it all!!<\/span><\/p>\n

            1. What are you most excited about with your new Kindle Fire<\/a>?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              M<\/strong>: Well, in all honesty, this is the first time I have won anything! So everything about the new Kindle is exciting. However, the best part is that I will be able to fly back home to visit family without having to take all of my books I want to read. I have an extensive list of materials that I will be reading once I turn the Kindle on\u00a0<\/span>J<\/span>\u00a0Thank you so very much for such an incredible gift!<\/p>\n
