The dentist said I&#8217;ll need to have someone drive me to and from the appointment. I know it sounds pathetic, but I don&#8217;t have anyone who can take me. I&#8217;m a single mom. I work in a cubicle and don&#8217;t know anyone. I never go out. I don&#8217;t even have someone I could call a friend. Will the dentist even know if I just take a bus home?<\/p>\n<p>Darcy P. &#8211; Texas<\/p>\n<p>Darcy,<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m afraid you won&#8217;t be in any condition to take a bus, or even a cab. You will not be coherent. It wouldn&#8217;t be safe. In fact, it will be down right dangerous. Because of that, most dentists will be certain they talk to your ride before you leave.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on the procedure, you might just be able to do nitrous oxide and a local injection. With nitrous oxide, you&#8217;re able to leave on your own. However, it really depends on the procedure.<\/p>\n<p>If your dentist feels like you really need the stronger, <a href=\"https:\/\/libertyvilledentist.com\/sedation-dentist.html\">oral conscious sedation<\/a>, you will need to have someone come with you. Is there a relative or someone from work that can stay with you? \u00a0If there really isn&#8217;t anyone, don&#8217;t put off the procedure. That could be life threatening. \u00a0You could call a local church explaining your situation.
