CandidPro™ Tooth Straightening System
Like Invisalign or ClearCorrect, Candid uses clear aligners to straighten your teeth. Unlike either of these, Candid allows you to skip all those trips to the dentist every four weeks. Instead, Dr. Potts will use the CandidApp™ and digital scanner to monitor your progress which means you can get remote treatment from home.
The CandidPro Treatment Procedure
First, we’ll do a full set of x-rays and a digital scan and send them to Candid where an orthodontist can review the diagnostics. He or she will recommend a treatment plan within ten days.
You will get the opportunity to hear the plan and give the go-ahead if you like what you hear. Candid will mail your alignment trays and digital monitor directly to your home. Instead of going to your dentist’s office, you will simply send Candid a scan of your bite every two weeks through their app.
Their orthodontist along with Dr. Potts will review the scan to make sure your treatment is progressing as expected and recommend any adjustments if needed. You will be notified through the app when you are ready to move on to your next set of aligners. The only reason to come into the office will be if there is a technical issue in tracking your treatment. Once you’ve worn the aligners and completed your full treatment, our dentists will take one final scan of your teeth in order to get you a custom-fit retainer that will help you keep the beautiful results you’ve achieved.
Invisalign Versus Candid
- While Invisalign takes between twelve and eighteen months to complete your treatment, Candid can work in just seven months.
- The treatment cost of Candid is much less than the cost of Invisalign.
- Only mild to moderate cases are good candidates for Candid. If you have more complicated misalignment or bite issues, ClearCorrect or Invisalign might be a better fit for you.
