It can be unnerving going somewhere new and not knowing what to expect. We want to give you a preview of a typical first appointment with our office. Because we want to get you off to a good start, your first appointment will be a little longer than most future appointments. We’ll be very thorough and check every aspect of your oral health. Two hours will be reserved for your exam and cleaning; whether you use that whole time is up to you. When you first walk in the door, you’ll be greeted by our friendly team at the front desk. From there you’ll be taken to the hygienist. We’ll do an interview and a complete exam, including x-rays and a periodontal check. We’ll also review your health history. From there you’ll be seen by Dr. Potts, who will check your dental health and answer any questions you have.
Sometimes new patients come to us with a specific dental problem that needs to be addressed. If that is the case, we will focus on the necessary dental treatment and go from there.
What If You Suffer From Dental Anxiety?
Though many dentists do not enjoy treating fearful patients, that is not the case with Dr. Potts.
