I spent years avoiding the dentist and now I’m paying for it. I’m losing my teeth. Is there anything I can do? I feel like my life is over.

Anya,
I’m sorry you’ve been through this. The dental fear alone must have felt debilitating. I haven’t examined your case, so I can’t tell you if anything can be done to save your teeth. As a dentist, I would say that would be the first priority.
However, I can tell you what your best solution is if they can’t be saved. If I were in your place, I would look into dental implants. They function the closest to your natural teeth.
There is a possibility that you will need to do some preliminary work to ensure success. If you’re losing your teeth, that could mean you’ve lost too much bone structure. In that case, you will need bone grafting done in order to be a good candidate for the implant procedure.
You don’t want to go to just any dentist for this type of thing. Make sure they’ve had a significant amount of post-graduate training in dental implants. Otherwise you could end up with an even bigger disaster.
